Addressing Different Needs
Smoking
Reaching the root of the habit and breaking the mental connections effectively enough to stifle the chemicle ones
Depression
While hypnotherapy can deal with feelings and correct negative perspectives, it would be recommended to only be part of larger treatment including diet and exercise
Motivation
While all therapy can be considered to be self-motivating for personal improvement, it can be focused on. Some examples of more famous people using hypnosis for motivational success are actor Sylvester Stallone and professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek
Weight Loss
Reduce cravings and unhealthy eating habits and making healthier choices more appealing
Relaxation/Meditation
Taking time and using techniques to ease both the physical body and mental state. While I do not claim that there is a fast-track to deeper meditative states, hypnotic trance is similar and can help
Athletics/Performance Enhancement
This field is of particular interest to me and I would like to devote more space to talk about this on another page of the site. Not only are there elements of traditional sports psychology, but the induction of a flow state for optimal performance is my main goal
Fear/Anxiety
Desensitizing fear stimuli and addressing deep-seeded stress triggers or perceived threat exaggeration
Parts Therapy
In my training, I was also certified to administer Parts Therapy: a system developed by Charles Tibbetts and continued by Roy Hunter developed specifically for hypnotherapy to address inner conflicts
Traditional Therapy Counseling
While hypnosis has been proven an effective tool for therapy, the therapy itself is the most important part of any session and if the idea of being in trance is off putting, we can engage in something similar to cognitive behavioural therapy, which addresses the conscious mind
